Amelia Seymour is an interdisciplinary artist and educator with a special interest in cross-cultural communication. She considers art and language as intertwined and inseparable forms of communication, which reflects strongly in her work as both artist and educator.
Through examining and endlessly questioning the constructs of identity, image, societal perceptions and projections, she hopes to inspire a bit more compassion and respect in a world of misunderstandings and fear-based judgements.
She works with painting, film/video, sound, photo, installation, sculpture, writing, voice, performance and various hybrid techniques.

-studied at the California College of Arts, Oakland California and received a degree as a "Meister" student in the class of Rebecca Horn at the UdK in Berlin.
